Temple of Light

First painting back from my recent trip to Italy & Greece. My intent was to capture the imposing scale felt when visiting the monumental architecture of Ancient Rome & Greece. Lessons taken are that simple & primitive forms can be carefully proportioned to create powerful & dramatic spaces.
